Esma launches costs and fees probe – Ignites Europe

The European Securities and Markets Authority said yesterday that it has launched a common supervisory action on the supervision of costs and fees of Ucits with national competent authorities, which is to be conducted this year.

The supervisory action seeks to “assess the compliance of supervised entities with the relevant cost-related provisions in the Ucits framework and the obligation of not charging investors with undue costs”, according to Esma.
